Thanks Chris,
I have 2 danbury mint cars with the same problem the doors will no shut tightly and are sloppy,they are not the dogleg hinges.

Yup, you can take the car completely apart and then crimp the bracket. It doesn't work on all cars. by Frank Kocour #42147.2
