George, I am in on that one but I would prefer 1/25 I believe
Most of the dealer promos were 1/25th scale. Recently AMT/Ertl made some excellent 53, 54 and 55 Corvettes, which I know you don't care for and they also made a 57 Chevy several years ago. I thought the detail on these examples was much better than those bought back in the day when we were kids. Revell also offered an aniversary promo, 53, 63 93 and 2003 Corvette package in 1/25th. Several years back AMT also made a "Master Piece Collection". It made 1/25th models of the 62 Chevy Impala SS, 58 Edsel 57 Chrysler 300, 62 Pontiac Catalina SD, 66 Rivera and a 1960 Ford Galaxie. These did not have any working features but in my opinion looked great and only cost around 30 dollars at the most. I would imagine like me, you think back on all the cars we had as kids, that were played with broken, lost or stolen, and wish we could have them back. I know some of these are sold on ebay but one of the big draw backs is many of these made prior to 1962 have severe warp conditions or other flaws and if they don't, they want two to five times the cost of a Danbury. So, yes and lets start with the 56,to 64 Oldsmobiles.
