Door edge guards...
...I recall these, I'm not sure if it was to add 'Sparkle' (we did so much of that back then, like adding 'vinyl roofs'! What nonsense...), or if it was some vain attempt at protection...as in 'Door edge guards'. I remember these things getting all dented up..remember?..so you substituted one form of damage (dents) for another (chips). I also agree that there's nothing worse than an over restored car, it doesn't look 'meticulous', it just looks precious and totally inaccurate. Riv's always appreciated, btw...thanks.
