PICS (1:1) 2012 4th Annual Saratoga Invitational Concours, Part 1....
This has become one of my favorite events and was the most ambitious trip I've taken since I got hurt. Happy to report that I made the 200 mile round trip and walked around the field all day with no ill effects. The 87ºF temp and brilliant sunshine all day felt REALLY good. Cadillac was the featured marque with quite a few original, unrestored cars. We'll get to them in due time....

Info is from the placards that accompanied the cars on the field....

Here's one for Marlowe. Shortly after I shot these "shade tree" images, the guy who was driving the "golf cart" to tow this car onto the show field had a major moment of brain fade and crashed into it's nose at full chat as he backed up to it.

He smashed the crap out of the irreplaceable fiberglass front bumper and cracked the right front fender. Greg Sullivan, the car's owner, was not pleased but showed admirable restraint by not killing the guy right there on the spot....

And finally tonight, some rare Canadian muscle. It's the equivalent of a Malibu SS. Have YOU ever seen one?

And thanx fur lookin'!
