'61 Bonneville ("Bamboo Cream") + '61 Fleetwood ("Fontana Rose") = Jaw Dropping Beautiful!
For the second time in three days, I am kicking myself because I did not have the camera with me!

I need to recognize, going forward, that every time I drive past the new LeMay Museum, I'll rewarded by something remarkable.

A few minutes ago, it was an absolutely stunning '61 Pontiac Bonneville convertible in Bamboo Cream with bucket seat interior. The online photos (of a different car, below) are an inadequate substitute for the beauty of the car seen today.

Leaving me equally weak in the knees was Sunday's magnificent 1961 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special in striking Fontana Rose. This car was all-original with the exception of a 1980's-vintage respray that still looked fantastic. How I wish I had been able to photograph it!

Again, photos like these (below) fail to tell the story of this car! The local car is solid Fontana Rose, lacking this car's contrasting color roof:

I would love to be able to purchase some of these remarkable General Motors '61 models from Danbury Mint!
