I have not seen the video, but would avoid jumping to conclusions. The fact is
that GM has decentralized its design process, and various design centers around the world are involved in the design of GM cars. In Chevrolet's case, there is a great push to make Chevy a global brand -- not simply a North American brand.Regarding assembly plants, GM does build Chinese-market Chevrolets, Buicks, and Cadillacs in China. The Buick Enclave is exported from the U.S. to China.I do not think that it is in any way accurate to suggest that any of GM's North American assembly plants are being sold to the Chinese.GM continues to invest heavily in North American assembly plants that build Chevrolets for the North American market. The Chevrolet Sonic, for example, is built in Michigan, replacing the Chevrolet Aveo that was sourced from Korea.
