a lot of guys don't realize how expensive it is to maintain an old car properly, they reason that b/c it's 'Just' a Chevy, it 'Must' be cheap to own and maintain. Wrong. The guys I've spoken to at car shows who do this (see also: Incorrect batteries, cables, and my all time fave, hose clamps..) usually shrug and say they'll 'Get to it later'. In the mean time, the car looks goofy and typically, what happens is that the owner forgets or gets accustomed to the incorrectness.
