Message: My first car was a 1953 Ford Four Door Sedan (their cheapest model). It has a 6 cyl. engine & 3 on the tree. It was a lovely shade of lime green. I bought it the summer I graduated HS (1964) and at the end of the summer, while driving 3 girls home from a dance in Avalon, NJ (a beach town), I fell asleep at the wheeel and ran into a tree, totaling the car. Thank God I was only doing about 30 mph and no one was seriously injured. The car cost me $300 from a neighbor woman the next block over.
