My eccentric cousin Joe had a 1962 Falcon
I remember it fondly riding around in it in the Bronx in the 70s-80s. It was a straight 6 with 3 on the tree! LOLOLOL I remember the exact sounds to this day. He'd let out the clutch, rev her up a little then you her EEeerrrrr errr CLUNK/GRIND/SCRAPE as he shifted into second, then a winning noise as it "gathered" speed, then a repeat of the 1-2 upshift sound effects between the 2-3 shift! LOL I also remember that it had a manual choke with a knob he used to pull in and out and it sounded like a well oiled Singer sewing machine at Idle! LOL Does all this sound about right???
