I collect exclusively 1/18th scale, yet I visit the BB every day, and usually several times a day. I

visit for three basic reasons.
-I enjoy all the 1:1 talk that goes on here. Like all of you, I'm a car junkie and I'll take my fix wherever I can find it. I also consider Steve's comparisons to be a daily ritual, and I enjoy seeing what all of you think about the choices. The voting only gets better when guys from the other scales chime in.
-I enjoy seeing what's going on in the 1:24 scale, even if it's just to clench my fist and say "Why can't we get one of those in 1/18?" (I know you guys do that too, as Phil and George's recent purchases prove.) Who knows? Maybe some day you guys will convince me to buy my first 1:24 car.
-Most importantly, I come to the BB for the personalities. George and I can bond like brothers over one issue, and then fight like dogs over another. (I'm not sure which I like better). I love Doug and Phil's dedication to the 60's and 70's boats, just as I love Jerry and the other guys talking about cars going back to the brass era. Meanwhile I wait for Gene's next photo feature, and look for Marlowe's latest entertaining post. (Which is just about anything he says.) I even enjoy needling those single minded closed minded types who shall remain nameless.
I say we just leave everything as it is. If people want to stick strictly to scale, all well and good. Just know that you are depriving yourself of the chance to know some of the interesting personalities in the other room. Don't forget the smaller scales either. They are an entertaining bunch too.
Whether this place is one giant forum, or five smaller ones, I'm just going to keep wandering around taking it all in.
