That's very unfortunate. But, if this is a matter of DM
having severe disruptions at their main Asian factory either due to labor displacements or the management of that factory deciding to (or being forced to) switch over to other types of manufacturing there, then perhaps it could be more a matter of a long delay rather than an end to all production.The main issue would be if DM has control of their tooling ..... or can arrange to get possession of it. If so, then although it might be a lengthy process, possibly a new or different factory could be contracted with and the skilled labor could be trained to produce the magnificent diecast models that Danbury Mint is known for. Prices may rise, but if they are not overwhelming, additional DM re-releases might take place and, eventually, selected new molds might be produced, too, although perhaps at a reduced rate ( maybe 1 brand new car every 18 - 24 months)
