Andy, my dad bought the business in Jan 1953 and worked until he
retired in Jan 1972. I worked there as a pain in the butt kid in the mid 50's until I was drafted in 65. It was the greatest experience of my life (the gas station - not the USMC LOL). The station was built by scratch mostly from memory and proudly say the detail is good - the scale is probably a little off

And yes I remember Atlantic Refining Co (out of Philly) merging with Richfield Oil in Calif (I think) forming ARCO. In Ohio ARCO was purchased by Marathon Oil. Thanks for asking.
