PICS (1:1 and 1:18) Thanx so much for the great pix of a model that I've never seen before, Dusan...
I'm a big fan of the many "Airflow" designs of the mid 1930's but your Skoda is new to me. The lift up grilles over the headlights are pretty wild. While there's only one Skoda in this group, I thought I'd repost these pix of some gorgeous cars by the Czech coachbuilder Sodomka in case you missed them the first time. Hope you find them interesting....1934 Walter Airspeed Regent Sodomka.... 1936 Aero 30 Sodamka.... 1937 Skoda 913 Superb Sodomka.... 1938 LaSalle Sodomka.... 1938 Studebaker Commander Sodomka.... These various versions of the Aero 50 Dynamik were built between 1938 and 1941 on the same chassis. It was also known as the "Arizona". Go figure!.... Evidently, at least two survived the war.... You'll notice that these Aero 50's also have a Bugatti-like dorsal fin on their rear decks.... And here's another European "Airflow", my Norev 1937 Peugeot 402 Eclipse Phalene....
