Automatic transmission dip sticks on some cars, including
American made have been missing for quite some time. Once a car gets over 100k, there is wear and small leaks that may change a fluid level. It just doesn't seem right to me. The overall idea is to make the cars so difficult you will return to a dealer for service, follow the money.
