Yes ! It would be quite a rocket ! I'll bet someone may
do that, although it's something Chevrolet ought to do ..... and not just with the forthcoming Chevrolet SS model, (which is different than the Impala) but with the regular Impala, too.

Simply offer some V-8's along with the sixes and dump the stretched version of the silly and poorly-thought out Epsilon II chassis and give it a far better rear-drive platform that perhaps can also be offered with optional awd. The Zeta platform might work but, for gosh sakes at least finally get it right after decades of utter failure.

FWD is for small economy cars and certainly not good engineering for most mid- and virtually all full-size cars
