1988 Aston Martin V8 Volante

Having the surname Windsor brings with it certainly privileges, especially if Dad is a big fan of Aston Martins. Prince Charles already had a full-sized example and the factory presented him with this 4/7th-scale version with Prince William in mind. There’s a Honda 160cc engine, an automatic clutch and a five-speed gearbox, as well as a working radio cassette.

1955 Imperial Midget Racer

Forget any notion that the Royals don’t know how to have fun; no stuffy family would consider giving a present such as this for a seventh Birthday, even if Charles was a Prince. Despite its tiny dimensions this Midget is powered by a two-stroke motorcycle engine and could reach speeds of 40mph, and was used by generations of Royal children until it was finally taken out of their hands and retired.
