I have little interest in (hence little knowledge of) race cars of any kind, BUT…
it sure looks like there’s a lot goin’ on in there! Additionally the fit and finish look pretty darned good. So speaking strictly from the point of view of a neophyte, I’d say this looks like great value for money…especially in that top-notch photo essay. I noted your post below, Rich, concentrating on the Classics portion of Ricko’s range. These, of course, were the images that interested me, and I have six of them:
• 1934 Cadillac V16 Aerodynamic Coupe • 1935 Horch 851 Pullman • 1937 Horch 930V Cabriolet • 1955 Mercedes Benz 300C “Adenauer” Sedan • 1927 Mercedes Benz 630K • 1936 Wanderer W24K Roadster
All are at least very good or, in the case of the ’37 Horch, outstanding. I had also considered their ’63 Lincoln Continental, but didn’t care for the color. As it turned out, the Yat Ming ’61 was a superior model and the color options preferable (at least to me). I also heard generally favorable opinions of Ricko’s Cadillac Sixteen concept car, but that one held no interest for me. I was saddened to learn of Ricko’s withdrawal from diecast (it was my impression that they had other business areas that they’re still involved in). But thankfully, Signature is still in robust good health (or so it seems), they concentrate on the subject matter I like and their best models are hard to beat, especially for the price. Thanks again for posting the Alfa Romeo spread, Rich. Your superb photos and the apparent excellence of execution on Ricko’s part really held my interest!
