New from Oxford Diecast
Oxford Diecast have come up with a couple of 1/43rd scale gems, the first of which is the classic Jaguar Series III E Type V12 2+2 in quite an attractive shade of light blue. Interior is black. Front, rear and side screens are finely picked out in silver, as is the trim on the door and front wings.Wheels are aluminium with "chromed" hub caps. Door mirrors, plus rear wing mounted retracted radio aerial are included, with a nicely cast grille as part of the front bumper. A quadruple exhaust pipe sticks out under the similarly plated rear bumper. The rear end is completed with a finely cast grille on the tailgate along with a "Jaguar E Type V12" transfer. Price is around 20-22. Nice.

Another recent release from Oxford Diecast is the Tickford Bodied Healey Saloon in ite Monte Carlo Rally Guise. Driven by Bill Meredith-Owen & Alec Pitts, this car entered and completed the Monte Carlo Rally 1953 and it is the only Healey Tickford to have achieved that. It finished 94th. This new Oxford model is finished in maroon with pale tan interior. Door cappings and dash/fascia are wood effect with sliver painted rear view mirror.Wheels are body colour with [plated hub caps with body colour embellishers.Side screens and wind screen are nicely picked out in sliver, as are the door handles, side lights and stone guards.Head lights and spot lights are plated with lens. The three piece grille, bumpers, boot handle, windscreen wipers, rear light and petrol filler cap are also plated. Boot handles are sliver painted. Steering wheel is tan with silver spokes. The model sports 1953 Monte Carlo Rally plates. Another nice offering from Oxford.

Makes a change from my usual white metal postings. Those two are out of my collection
