Apparently Paleobond is a cyanoacrylate ("super glue").
As such, it will attack paint and most clear plastic window materials. Plus, regular Super Glue is much cheaper. I've used this successfully, using the standard low viscosity version, to make these repairs. I use a thin wire, dipped into a bit of cyanoacrylate so a small drop forms on the tip. Then bring the tip up to and parallel to the trim piece. The liquid will suck under the trim piece when it makes contact, by capillary action. Sometimes a tiny piece of tape can hold the surfaces closer together, before applying the liquid, but keep the liquid away from getting too close to the tape. Have a paper towel ready. If any liquid gets on the paint, wipe it off immediately and all should be well.
