Right, Allen, there are several Continental MKIIs already. The "Lincoln
Continental MKIII" ran from 1969-72 and was an elegant competitor to the more dramatic Cadillac Eldorado. It made more of a splash than any of the Mark series to follow [all done nicely by Neo]. The more significant MKIII seems an odd omission by Neo.

Making all this more confusing, for 1958 - 60 FoMoCo discontinued the MKII, and Continental as a separate division. The name, 'Continental MKIII' was not for a successor to the MKII coupe, but just used as a top trim to the strange slant-headlight '58-'60 Lincolns In the 60s and 70s all Lincoln lines were called "Lincoln Continental", so for 1969 when the new, separately designed coupe was introduced, they called it "Lincoln Continental MKIII" as a successor to the classic Continental MKII. I guess they were trying to forget about those late 50s beasts in their numbering.

Anyway, Automodello, [or even Neo] we 43ers need one, too!
