Now that this Cadillac has been discussed again...
I keep noticing one issue with the model, namely the droopy rear end. I saved the pic from months ago of the prototype (red with white trim), and it did not have that apearance. I wonder if these resin bodies are made from rubber molds? If so, it looks to me like the mold was distorted after the master was copied. The result makes the quarter panels appear bent downward behind an imaginary vertical line at about the same place as the center of the rear wheels. Even the tips of the "fins," ahead of the chrome tail lamp housings, are not as sharp as they should be. This mold distortion could cause the earlier discussed lower body chrome trim line to not be straight as well.
Christoph, your mods to the windshield are genius. I never even noticed that aspect before, but your revised version is significantly improved. Once again, thanks for sharing pics.
Lastly, as others have commented, I wonder if anyone familiar with these real cars is being consulted before production begins. Litte things make so much difference, but if the people making the model have never seen the real car, how are they to know?
