Coke vs Pepsi - part 2
Last year I posted pics of two VW vans, in both Coke and Pepsi livery. Well, here I go again:

Coke vs Pepsi part 2

The Pepsi truck is a 1:43 Minichamps Opel Blitz from the 1950's. This was one of those "what the heck" kind of purchases, it was on ebay dirt cheap. The Coca Cola compatriot is a Siku 1:55 model from the early 1980's, reportedly a 1927 White.

Here's a solitary view of the Opel. Nice model and 1:43 unlike the majority of trucks out there that are in 1:50 scale.

Another look at the Siku. It came with several removeable crates, but not quite enough to fill all the slots. Doors open.
Siku White Coke

Colors on the Siku aren't too far off the mark. Check out this Ford T at the AACA museum in Hershey.

Very detailed crates - do they have bottles in them? :-) (EOM) by Karl Schnelle #8553.1
Nope Karl - They are cast in on the Opel, in the Siku the crates are a 2 piece affair in plastic (EOM) by Harvey Goranson #8553.1.1
