The 1961 was the game changer and the 62 was essentially the same with different front
and rear chromework.
The 1963 was tweaked a bit with some more grillework and minor changes to the back seat area which gave it a more streamlined look. Essentially however, the 1961 to 63 was
the same with the 61 having that distinctive front grille with a heavy chrome strip. mechanical changes were another story with,inter alia, the 63 having an AC v DC alternator.
However the 64 was slab sided and in my view it lost that
61-63 style. It was also longer by a couple of inches, primarily to give more rear legroom.
To us Lincoln enthusiasts, the model that we want is the
1961 or failing this a 1962-63. Sorry about spacing but
my computer has a mind of its own.
