It's quite possibly because, initially,
H61 would likely to have a reasonably good assurance that they can establish themselves in 1/43 and consistantly successful subjects give that confidence. It's the same in other scales too, as well as the fact they may already have (or have found it quicker to get) licenses to manufacture these cars.I'm very glad that Neo has such a wide variety, yet I'm sure they will also do versions of previously-done models. It's also possible that Neo has more resources at the beginning and were going to concentrate on 1/43, whereas Highway 61 initially (and still does) produce in 1/18, 1/16 trucks/farm vehicles, 1/24 and 1/64 trucks.Yes, I am most excited to see subjects that haven't been done before (or, at least, not in a particular price/detail range) but I certainly understand and generally accept the market realities the companies face.I know Neo gets criticized for too much adventurism and Highway 61 for not enough, but I think generally it's much better if each individual plays the part of a Goldilocks, without feeling their subject preferences are the only way a manufacturer (and other collectors) should go.Hopefully, H61 will have good success with their introductions and be able to move on to a varied and widely-regarded 1/43 line.Mike
