I too thought that the strip was bit on the thick side Paul,
but possibly the limitations of producing a thin piece of brightplated white metal is the cause of this. The original brass master may well have been quite thin, but brightplating itself can add to the the thickness, which at this scale can be quite significant. The model is already proving to be quite popular.
