I still don't understand the bit about smashing the car because the train was late, though! Weird.

While you've got your book in hand, maybe you could give us the gen on Lansdowne 97, the 1937 Bentley 4.25 liter saloon by Park Ward. My research didn't come up with much, except for a similar restored example that's all in black now.
