Colour temperature - I guess it is time to re-evaluate one of these ......
A Minolta Colour Temperature Meter. See link below:http://www.momentcorp.com/review/colormeter.htmlAny excellent book on colour photography in the pre-digital age would have a chapter on colour temperature. A colour temperature meter would provide scientific readings and not subjective GUESS work! This is not the first time this subject has been aired on this Forum and it won't be the last. Also I would like to add that on my very old Nikon D200 I can dial in the colour temperature. However, the camera doesn't measure it! So hence the need for a true colour temperature meter. When taking photographs an understanding on how the camera's metering system works is required. They are all calibrated to read 18% grey. So an image that is predominately white will result in an image that is grey. The reason why the white background Wayne used is no longer white! And the same thing happens when the image is predominately black the result will be an image that is grey.Chris
