disagree on your physics. Some times we get something in our heads and can't see past it. It's like Frank L's response on the 18 board to Dick's question. When I saw the picture I couldn't remember what the question was (also part of my belief that God is a women. If God were a man he would have given us enough blood to use both heads at the same time, also maybe baring children women have a better understanding of unconditional love, but I degress). So I'm going to try and put this in a formula, about race cars. Take a 3500 lb car moving at 150 mph, we'll call this R x M. Then we will call the resistance of the tire to the track Q. So when the car hits the grass a factor changes, the resistance drops, lets say to 1/2Q. Because of enertia the mass, R, will actually increase in speed because of less resistance. I have experienced this myself. Either the car speed increases or the rest of the world slows down. Given the two possibilities I'm going with the car going faster in a slide in the grass than on pavement. Also I would highly recommend taking a race glass. My wife and I did a stock car glass at Charlotte and I did an open wheel glass at Mid-Ohio by myself. And I recommend doing it with a friend, it's much more enjoyable to share with a friend.
