How Does This Sort Option Work?

This allows you to change the order in which you view each brand's listing of cars. You can only do this on a page where you see a listing of cars for that brand. You can't re-sort on an intermediate menu page which presents different classifications.

And re-sorting only takes place within a brand's classifications. This means if a brand has "Off Road" and "Performance" classifications, the re-sorting takes place within those classifications.

The default order is Make by alphabetic sequence | Model by alphabetic sequence | Year in ascending sequence.

Example 1: Sort by Year, then Make, then Product Code

This means - within a classification - you want to see:

How do you do that? Under Sort 1, choose YEAR in drop down menu. Under Sort 2, choose MAKE in drop down menu. Under Sort 3, choose PRODUCT CODE.

Example 2: Sort by Model, then Product Code

This means - within a classification - you want to see:

Why would you want to do that? Because you want to see all the Mustangs this manufacturer has produced put in a sequence, in this case by PRODUCT CODE. In default mode, the cars would not be in ascending order of PRODUCT CODE, but by YEAR. In default mode, it would be more difficult for you to follow Product Codes in sequence.

How do you do that? Under Sort 1, choose MODEL in drop down menu. Under Sort 2, choose PRODUCT CODE in drop down menu. Leave Sort 3 alone.
