It should be noted that Danbury Mint refers to this model as a "1930's Budweiser Delivery Truck." They have no photos of this model and it is never included in their Budweiser Delivery Truck Collection Brochure. In fact nearly every DM Rep I talked to had never heard of it, nor seen it. The description of it is vague and hard to find in DM's computer and does not mention the aluminum kegs. When I asked about the availability of this 1938 Ford One and One-Half Ton Budweiser Delivery Truck with Aluminum Kegs, DM stated that they had no such model and had never made one. By the process of elimination, I ordered the "1930's Budweiser Delivery Truck" from DM hoping that it was this model. I figured if it wasn't, I could return it. Either way, at least I'd know what this "1930's Budweiser Delivery Truck" was. Turned out that it was the 1938 Ford with aluminum kegs I was searching for. It's another beautiful example of DM's craftmanship and an excellent addition to their Budweiser Delivery Truck Collection, although little known, since even DM doesn't know they have it.
