I collect all kinds of Mustangs, and this is one of the best!!

2. Jay Engel  11/21/01

If you're looking for the very best early Mustang replica available ever; this is it! A most auspicious start to what looks like a diecast collection that's a win/win for all involved!

You know what they say: "A picture is worth a thousand words". Thanks to the folks at Diecast Zone and the great photo spread, you can study these photos and see more than I have room to talk about. I just wish my collection of over 150 cars were all up to this quality standard. Only the other Precision 100 cars are, unfortunately.  Makes my others look like toys, by comparison. THIS is what a collector class model should be, and at a price even I can afford. I can hardly wait for the 57 Thunderbird, I just know it will be equally as fantastic as this Mustang, the 57 Chrysler 300C, and the 1913 Ford Speedster are.

Do you like Mustangs?  Then, go out and buy this diecast.  It is (like the above reviews say) the definitive diecast of this car.  If you didn't know better, you'd swear you could turn the key and start this baby up.  Detail, fit and finish is absolutely first class.  Little things - like the window cranks that really crank, the drive shaft turns with the wheels.  The Mints need to step back and take another look at their current offerings.  This moves the bar up another notch, folks!

excellent quality a must have for any mustang nut. i have 42 1/18 mustangs and this is by far the best.worth 3 times the cost of $39.95.

A great example of realistic diecast; far superior to models that I have paid twice the price for.  This car (and others I have seen from P-100) absolutely raise the bar for affordable diecast.  At almost any angle it looks like the real thing.  The only thing that would tip off a Mustang fanatic that it isn't real is the seat belts and the grill needs one more line to be exact.  Highly recommend; wish they would make more examples of fine Fords.

Great features for the money. Probably one of the best detailed cars on the market today. Other manufactures could take lessons from this car.

This is a 1965 Model, There were no  1964 1/2  289's they were all 260's. Detail is excellant except for the retractable antenna That Ford hasn't had for over 50 years.

This is one nicely done replica for the money.  If you're a vintage Mustang fan, this model is a must have.  This replica will be one of the finest pieces in your diecast collection.  Having owned a vintage Mustang, I can tell you that this replica has the right look and feel about it, in remarkable detail, for a very reasonable price.  Accolades to Ertl and Ford Precision 100.

You've got to play with this car to really appreciate it.  Seats that slide forward and back (in addition to folding).  The hood springs, working suspension, working shift lever, well the others have said it so well.  If I could shrink my hand down and turn the key that's hanging in the ingnition, I'd almost expect the engine to crank.  I owned a gold '66 back in my youth and Ford has done an excellent job of recreating the things I remember so well.  I'm a P100 fan now.

This, the first of the P-100 cars, is a great model. I see from the other reviews that it is as appreciated by others as by me, so I won't repeat. The only thing I can find to complain about is the rear suspension... it moves, but on unrealistic coils... i.e. without moving the molded leaf springs. I feel this lets down the otherwise very high attention to detail. That said, the spoked wheels, detailed engine compartment, and the magnificent interior are way beyond what I would expect for the price. This is the best model of the 1st generation Mustangs that I've seen... ever!
