My first ERTL (Diamond Collectable). Best thing about the car is the body and the paint (if someone at ERTL didn't use any touch-up paint). If ERTL has to touchup, the paint they use doesn't match the dover white. Otherwise the car is very poor in overall quality. ERTL doesn't remove flash from the plastic parts in the car which badly detracts from realism. The steering wheel is wrong. The front grill/headlight assy sticks out past the edge of the hood (and bumper), plus its the wrong grill/headlight for the Z-10. The engine is very poor with the alternator on the wrong side, too many unpainted parts, etc. Looks like ERTL just used the '69 Indy Pace car interior because it's all orange. All the Z-10's I've seen have white interiors. Bottom-line, unless you're willing to do a lot of correction, pass up this car. It goes for $70+ on eBay and is not worth it. You'll be disappointed from the moment you open the box. If you want to add your Collector Review, CLICK HERE. |
