l love the detail of this model. I own a 1953 Kaiser Manhattan 4 door sedan.
I bought it back in 1983 in Montreal,Quebec
it was a turn key car in excellent condition. The Kaiser was one of the coolest looking cars to ever come out of the 1950's.
The Kaiser might be gone, but it's not forgotten.
LONG LIVE the Kaiser!!!!

A funny thing, Highway 61’s 1:18 output: largely divided, between American muscle in all its glory on the one hand, and on the other, great cars from the ‘50s with a special emphasis on neglected “orphans.” Thank Heaven for the latter; there’s still a big gap in quality images in this scale. For me this is where H61 shines. The Hudson, Nash and Studebaker cars have each filled an important slot, and each has been done to a turn. The ‘53 Kaiser joins these as one rich in its own history as a subject and as a superbly refined model. It’s amazing and inspiring that Kaiser-Frazer mustered the creative ingenuity and financial muscle to produce cars that would capture the fancy of the American buying public. That they eventually fell by the wayside is no disgrace. Who can forget the incomparable styling of the Kaisers? They were cars of their time, but looking at them now they seem almost new. The Kaiser had its own personality, at once classy and assertive, well captured by Highway 61. The well-established hallmarks of H61 are all here: perfect paint, fit and finish, a finely detailed engine, a bevy of opening panels and functioning features, plus now-perfect chrome foil trim. Yes, it’s worth mentioning this, as the technique has always been under particular scrutiny and criticism with this manufacturer. I chose this particular version for the added elegance of the wire wheels (beautifully done) and the chromed sunshades coupled with the most alluring two-tone paint scheme. The interior is also artful in its realism. This is a terrific model of a unique car. Now, H61, how about putting a toe in the ’50s classic mainstream with a Buick, Cadillac or Imperial?
