Glad to see Kyosho come out with this model of the BJ8 Healey. Paint and build quality are excellent as one would expect from Kyosho. My only complaint is the addition of the twin "bullit" mirrors mounted way out on the fenders! I have never seen a Healey equiped this way! Just detracts from the classic body lines of the "Big" Healey. The badge bar with fog lamps and badge are a nice touch. 2. richard dube 7/18/02
Many details of the BJ8 are not accurate or out of scale as the fender chrome spears, upholstery, dash cover who is supposed to be black. More... the under carriage is toy like nothing for kyosho to be proud if compared to some of their other models as the 240z. It is sad to have spoiled a so nice effort. 3. Mark Schneider 5/10/03
In addition to the reviews published here there is another and very serious error in the reproduction. The BJ8 is a convertible, ie, the top is permanently mounted on the car. Therefore, the body work around the top of the trunk is different than any earlier Healey. There is a raised "collar" that extends from the top of the door chrome all the way around the back of the car. In other words the top of the body above the trunk (boot) is not flat. To the owner of a BJ8 this is a very serious inaccuracy that will probably stop the purchase. It has stopped mine. If you want to add your Collector Review, CLICK HERE. |
