This is a fun model!!  I bought it as a souvenir of a trip to London, and the detail is not the worst, but it’s not spectacular.  The hobby shop I purchased it at also had an Autoart (not positive on the maker)  model that was spectacularly detailed but for 5 times the price.  The detail included is limited to grip handles, fold down seats, and moderate engine detail.  I personally like these “odd cars out” models, as they lend a unique counterbalance to the typically smaller and exotic sports cars.  Pick one up as a conversation piece, or as a souvenir, but not as a serious display item.

I am a huge fan of the London Taxi, and so I had to buy this model when it first came out. I have bought many model cars since, and the TX1 remains a firm favourite. There is not as much detail as you would get from other manufacturers, but for around £20, you can't argue.

My favourite detail is the tiny lettering along the bottoms of the number plates. This gives the name and phone number of the London dealership.

For any serious taxi collector, I would definitely recommend the Sunstar TX1.
