In 1996 the Mercedes-Benz SLK was presented to the public for the first time, in 2011 the third generation of the Roadster was unveiled and showed some significant changes, especially in the front nose area. The front grill is similar to the one of the Mercedes-Benz SLS, which is higher than the first SLK version and is due to new pedestrian law requirements. Mercedes-Benz has taken this as a chance to change the whole proportions of the new Mercedes-Benz SLK and has optimized the bonnet with a longer aluminium hood. Newly designed headlight reflectors give the finishing touches to the SLK front and also lead to a decreased cW value of only 0,3 in comparison to 0,32 of its predecessor. (07/11/2012) |
