Danbury Mint 1:24 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible - Pink diecast car

According to sources at Cadillac this model was not offered in this particular pink color scheme as a factory option in '59. In a previous year, '56 where it had been available, this lovely pastel was called "Mountain Laurel Pink". By the 60's the color had lost popularity and was shelved by G.M. When Mary Kay Ash, founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics, visited her local Cadillac dealer to inquire about a pink color they were able to resurrect the old color. G.M. later renamed the color "Mary Kay Pink" and designated it an exclusive color that could only be ordered by their Company.

The issue price is $112 + S&H. (07/17/1998)
