Danbury Mint 1:24 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster (Discontinued) diecast car

This replica is replete with precision detailing at a fine level for 1:24 scale. Visually, a beautiful automobile, gracefully styled and sculpted. Up-scale from the standard Ford Roadster of its day, it was a "head turner" that brought Ford 400,000 advance orders within two weeks of its introduction.

Fit, paint finish and attention to small details rewards the owner of this model. Close inspection reveals the tiny finger grooves in the cowl gas cap; the minute inside door handles and even smaller "Ford" insignia on the front of the grill are right on the money. The seats are leather, as is the rumble seat, the running board tread feels realistic as one would step proudly into this Roadster. Engine detail is good, though there is no wiring. Undercarriage is accurate and the external trunk is very well detailed right down to the simulated wooden board understructure. Windshield wings are movable, door and hood hinges well executed and overall a great early Ford piece to have. The issue price is $112 + S&H. (07/18/1998)
