The
1942
Ford
PU is
a real
gem.
The
color
is a
dark
green
which was quite popular on trucks of that era. The first thing you
notice is the cream color of the "waterfall" grille and accent on the
hood. The next thing I noticed is the partially rolled down windows
on the doors--a nice touch. The engine compartment is good
however I can't remember the carburetor being painted tan. The
spark plug wires are missing on my truck but the hose clamps are
on the radiator hoses. The interior is correct and even has the little
Ford heater on the fire wall which I can remember from a 1941
Ford sedan. The hubcaps are correct and the Ford script is painted
in blue. The pickup bed is correct but is missing the six little square
holes which were used to tie down loads. The tailgate is held by
chains when open as on the real truck and the taillights are trimmed
in black. All of the trucks seem to be missing the jack assembly
which was probably stored under the hood or behind the seat. The issue price is $118 + S&H. (06/29/1998)
