Revell Creative Masters 1:24 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO Coupe

Revell Creative Masters 1:24 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO Coupe diecast car

This is the counterpart to the Jouef Evolution 1967 Ferrari 330 P4. Both diecasts were made by Jouef for Revell's Creative Masters German Division. Both in 1:24th. scale. Boxed in Jouef attire this model is code numbered 3003. The 330 P4 is #3027. The respective codes for the identical models in Creative Masters boxes are #8861 and #8863.

As far as diecast models go, this one can only be described as exquisite. Everywhere you look, your eyes are rewarded with photo-etched metal pieces that grace the racy exterior of the Ferrari. From the lower front jacking posts, the grill, the hood and trunk latches, wheel spinners to the infinitely detailed wipers, they are uniquely carried out. The photo-etched door handles are screwed into place and the headlamp covers are too, with four minute screws in each. The interior is a masterpiece only overshadowed by the engine bay. In my estimation, this has to be the best detailed engine in a diecast that I have ever studied. You can not get enough of it as you view it through the open hood, beneath the vehicle or through the side gill openings. It is magnificent. The spark plug wires, battery and starter cables, horn wiring and dual distributor wires are red, infinitesimal and real metal wire. The oil filter and fuel line completes the unbelievable realism. The trunk has a spare complete with metal spinner and did I mention that the fuel door actually opens? For a diecast made a few years ago, and sadly now discontinued, this car is exquisite.
