Long overdue, very mainstream, yes, it's another Chevy, it's a pickup, wow!!! The '41 Chevy comes from those little p/u elves at DM and is another winner. Finished in Export Blue with black fenders, set off with very upscale (from a '41 Chevy Special Deluxe) set of wheel sets and whitewall tires, this little beast is an attention grabber from the word GO. Typical DM attention to detail and build quality, faithful replication (even the windshield pivots for extra ventilation), and seamless design draw your eye to this model no matter how many other replicas surround it on the shelf. The silver & red accent stripe just finishes the job.

I won't say this is DM's "best Pickup yet" because they're ALL EXCELLENT and DIFFERENT. Pickups are DM's forte; they're incredibly life-like and addictive (this from yours truly who, heretofore, couldn't stand pickups...and now owns no less than 15 of them!!!), so to say this is a must have piece will only depend on the size of your model budget.... But if there's any way to squeeze in just one more pickup, then...you just might want to give this one some serious thought!!!

Cautions from Mike Martin: The chrome vents along side of hood seems a bit rough. The little reflectors (or lights) over the front headlamps seem a little poor in detail. They look like a touch of paint as opposed to actual lights. The wood grain detail on the bed of the truck is good but it seems a wood color like dark brown would have looked more realistic. (However...) Great little memory car for me. I would buy it on that basis alone. The issue price is $118 + S&H. (06/26/1998)
