Well, DM's gone and done it again....this time from way, way out in left field, they've issued the ultimate in obscure intrigue...the '58 Edsel Bermuda 6 passenger Station Wagon! What we have here is a replica of one of the rarest (1189 built ...one year only run) station wagons ever produced in this country. Funky, but accurate funky.... this model is something else!! To begin with, this replica is full of authentic details, from the mid-line trim level wheel covers to the 50’s Moderne seat covers to the blonde mahogany side panels and tailgate trim, this Edsel looks like it just blew in from the supermarket; it's that good.

And it all works... all 4 doors (no gaps,) ailgate/liftgate, steering, suspension, hood, underfloor tire stowage.... and the back seat folds down to make that perfectly flat load floor all station wagons were noted for. Finished in Ember Red and Snow White, with correct "wood paneling", the Edsel wagon sure stands out from the crowd. As a DM replica, the car is nearly flawless in its execution. Everything's neat and tight with all operations functioning as intended. Check out the unobtrusive hinges on the rear doors, nodog legs and a pretty good fit, too.

The idea of this model is what's most refreshing!!! Here's a 50s FAMILY STATION WAGON presented among a sea of coupes, convertibles, and one-offs; it's a breath of fresh air and definitely recommended for anyone who truly wants something different!! The issue price is $112 + S&H. (07/29/1998)
