Here comes another great Danbury Mint truck. The wood frame body of the Ford truck has been faithfully reproduced. The green and black hues correctly depict the color scheme of this era. The driver and passenger side doors on the model reviewed slid easily with the drivers and front windows being designed to open out. It is exciting to watch the continual evolution of exquisite detail in the motor compartment area of the 1931 Ford with coil and distributor wires included in this model. This model dares you to bring out your magnifying glass and inspect the fine detail of functional hinges and latches found on the rear security doors as well as the wonderful art work lettering on various areas of the truck including the Uncle Sam "I Want You" poster on the truck side. Here there are several scale sized mail bags which I think look great displayed next to the truck. Curiosity makes you want to open up the bags to see if DM has actually filled them with tiny replicas of letters! The issue price is $129 + S&H. (06/29/1998) (06/29/1998) |
