Here's a slice of Americana that'll strike a chord in the
hearts of every one over 50. The Divco Milk Truck (this one's in Borden livery) was a fixture on almost every residential street in America!!! DM's usual sense of style, authenticity, and quality is clearly evident in every detail...from the 4 cylinder engine to the swing-out-of-the-way drivers' seat, to the accordion folding
side doors, and ice chest inside the cabin.
It's all there in fine fettle, fully operable and even complete with 21 cases of fresh milk (white only, no chocolate) that must be installed via a special set of tweezers. The truck is part of a new series of milk trucks... and while this reviewer feels this Divco to
be very special and a worthwhile acquisition, I question the
saleability of a milk truck collection to collectors of precision diecast model...CARS. It's not for everyone, but it may be for you. Check it out!!! The issue price is $135 + S&H. (07/29/1998)
