Here is a very obscure, ONE YEAR ONLY design that literally LOOKS like it's the grandfather of the big, defiant Dodge Rams of today!. DM has captured every detail (check out the under seat tool boxes) in a very tight, well-built replica that's full of properly operational features, painted the whole thing Dodge Dark Blue, given it paint accents (including the wheels) in Lemon Yellow, and topped the whole thing off with a black fabric roof and a pickup box . Even the stance of this little gem is a hoot...arrogant, purposeful, and even a little macho with a touch of elegance via the coach windows in each rear quarter of the cab. The previously mentioned paintwork is flawlessly applied, not to mention the evenness of the delicate pinstriping which abounds all over the cab. While I'm not a pickup person ( ...I'm not easy, either ), I've got to say this '29 Dodge Merchant Express, the first Dodge Pickup, is a must have.....especially if you're fortunate enough to have the '41 Dodge Ram and the '57 D-100 SweptSide...they look great together!!! The issue price is $111 + $6 S&H. (06/26/1998) (06/26/1998) |
