2,400 bottles of Coca Cola on this 1928 International Delivery Truck make this replica an exciting finale to the four truck collection now available from Danbury Mint. DM continues moving forward with their state of the art advances in diecast car construction with simulated spring suspension, tools, air pump, and superb motor detail. Attention to minutia on this model is good from the fine lens detail of the headlights to the honeycombed radiator grill. Component part fittings of doors, hood, opening front window are all snug and without unsightly gaps. Even close inspection of the Coke bottles reveal the traditional shape and color that is Coca Cola. The bright yellow, red and black colors of this truck are a delight and all the vintage signage has been reproduced in authentic detail. The 100 cases of Coke are easily loaded from the plastic sleeves they are stored in during shipment and the handcart stores conveniently up under the rear bed of the truck as they did on the originals. It’s a little tough to stow the tire pump under the passenger seat, however. This is another one of those models from DM that continue to make truck enthusiasts of us who up to a year or two ago might not have considered them for our collections. The issue price is $145 + $7.50 S&H. (06/29/1998) (06/29/1998) |
