The
'38
Ford
PickUp
represented
a
quantum
leap in
the
development
of the
PickUp at Ford Motor. The alligator-style hood, disc wheels,
liberal use of chrome trim, more comfortable seating, snappy pin
striping, even amber fog lamps...all of these things made the new
'38 Ford a head-turner. And, as usual, DM has captured all the
magic...in 1/24 perfection!! While this model is not DM's best
effort in their effort to dominate the scale model precision truck
market, it is a reflection of all the reasons they're still the Model
Pick Up Standard Bearers in diecast! Everything's as it should be;
as it's EXPECTED to be by some very demanding collectors.
Everything operates smoothly, the paint's beautiful (Washington
Blue), everything's up to the usual high standard we expect from
DM.
If you like the DM line of beautiful pick ups, then you've simply
GOTTA HAVE this one. If you've decided you're never going to
get sucked into the Pick Up "thing" then you better rush past this
one with your eyes closed tight, your hands in your pocket, and
your wallet left in your safety deposit box....o'wise, this one may
