Danbury Mint 1:24 1996 Plymouth Prowler- Rod & Custom Series diecast car

The 1996 Plymouth Prowler is spectacular. The paint is a flawlessly applied in TWO STAGES, metalized purple and a clear coat. The metal flake is perfectly scaled. To enhance the body panel fit, which is practically seamless, DM has used small metal clamps which allow the sides of the dash to remain intact, as well as being barely visible and allowing the doors to "properly" open.

The interior is absolutely filled with detail: Seat belts with clamps which appear to be able to operate; the center console opens. Inside you will see the grooved indentations for audio cassettes; Speaker grills are perforated , as part of the rear shelf; Indications for gear location (auto trans) are easily readable; Sun visors (which swivel) have the required information placards. The seats are the best I have seen in rubberized plastic. The creases and texture are excellently replicated.

The double wishbone suspension is beautifully articulated. Front and rear suspension travel is correctly replicated along with coiled springs, all needed connecting rods as well as disc brakes and lines. The engine bay is also filled with detail; wire looms, master cylinder lines, real fan belts (two) along with idler pulleys add to the astonishingly realistic look of this car's engine and bay.Lastly, the rear deck lifts and has in place a static folded soft top (plastic) With the rear deck down you can add an actual cloth covered top (included). I found absolutely nothing to criticize about this issue, ENJOY. THIS IS A GREAT REPLICA. The issue price is $109 + $5.80 S&H. (10/28/1998)
