When this '41 Cadillac first arrived as a test shot at MBI, the consensus of opinion was that the product just wasn't up to snuff! Point blank, end of story!

Well, as it turns out, not quite the end of the tale...DM's management decided to switch gears (and vendors) to try it all again. Well, it's a year late, but the big white carton finally arrived and I opened it with great anticipation! Creative Master (the manufacturer in China) has done it again; this thing is masterful! You can't compare it to the DM 300C, except to say that the level of attention paid to the smallest of details and assembly of both are EQUAL, to say the least...other than that, the 2 replicas are too divergent in character to compare. The image of this Cadillac has been almost eerily recaptured in this model. I've seen enough of these elegant sedans in my life to have more than a passing awareness of their aspect...and DM has done their magic once again. Usual DM Fit & Finish is evident everywhere...the operating antenna (now a DM hallmark, along with the operating fuel filler door) is more delicate in its appearance and its operation as well. All 4 doors open on correct scale (and proper) "outside" hinges. The interior is leather and the rear armrest folds down, if you do it right. Black paint is pretty (especially enhanced by the Dante Red wheels and the 3/4 full wheel discs)...and the DM rendition of the famous Cadillac "jewelry" is, in itself, worth the price of admission.

You must have one of these to park along side your '40 Packard Darrin...the effect of that scene will give you goose bumps...and the sheer genius and beauty of Bill Mitchell's original design will delight your eye time and again. This one's a ***** keeper. PS...sure would like to see it in another color..light gray or Madiera Maroon. The issue price is $112 + S&H.
