For those of us (like me) who were disappointed with Danbury's Model T wrecker, be advised Danbury has made amends with their 1930 International heavy duty tow truck. This truck is in the same class as their '46 Dodge wrecker. Paint and detailing are superb. The model comes with a tan cloth top that matches the well executed pin stripping. The truck is painted dark green with black front fenders/running boards, while the chassis is painted red. The whole color scheme comes off much better in real life than it did in the early brochure from Danbury. The Holmes twin booms are similar to the ones used on the Dodge, only larger (remember, this is heavy duty!). Fit on the doors, bi-fold hood, and swing open windshield are excellent. Engine and interior detail is also equal to the '46 Dodge. Removing the bottom of the leather-like seat reveals the truck's gas tank and battery. Danbury has restored my faith in their wrecker line! If you are a wrecker-head, this truck is a must have. Five stars for this one! The issue price is $135 + S&H. (12/11/1999) (12/11/1999) |
